Spring Select is designed to provide a more challenging level of play for those players who possess the appropriate interest, skills and abilities and to enhance each player's experience and individual growth through the game of soccer while retaining the spirit and organization of AYSO.
The goal of Spring Select is to strengthen AYSO by retaining players and volunteers in additional programs operated under the AYSO philosophies. Spring Select teams travel to other regions and play in tournaments. Spring Select teams are selected following the completion of the Fall season and may begin practicing as early as December. Spring Select teams are free to participate in tournaments when they are formed all the way through July and their season typically runs from March through May.
Important Information (Spring 2025):
Base fee is $240 per player (Uniform not included)
Each player gets field usage from December thru the end of June
Mandatory 4 day skills camp Monday thru Thursday with our USSF Coaches and other highly certified trainers/coaches week before thanksgiving, highly recommended for U10 thru U14
Official practice can begin the first week of December twice a week for 2 hours each day, coaches will be requesting their preferred days/times and will need to be approved
All teams will be required to attend Locomotion and Soaring Over Jurupa tournaments with only exception being your respective division not being offered in the tournament
All teams will be required to volunteer and provide additional referee assignments than required for their own team for both Locomotion and SOR as we are co-hosts.
The Select game schedule starts in March and runs through the end of May consisting of about 10 games, but could be less dependent on the number of teams.
All teams will have weekday games and weekend games spanning Riverside County in locations that include Beaumont, Hemet, Corona, Riverside, Menifee, Moreno Valley, etc...
If you have children on other teams whether it be Core, Select, or other, there will be conflicts, please plan ahead.
All teams will be required to provide one full referee crew for the Core program each week during the Spring Core Season. This includes weekends when you may have a game. An example would be if your game is in the afternoon then we would expect your referees to cover some early morning games for the core program. If your Select game is in the early morning, depending on distance, we would expect your referees to cover some early afternoon core games. In the event you can't make it, we would expect your referee crews to cover double the amount of games the following weekend.
Bad behavior on the sidelines during games, during practice, or any other team event will not be tolerated. This includes cursing, making rude comments, verbally assaulting referees, and more. We are continuing to implement new rules that include suspensions from games for such behavior and potentially complete season suspensions. While you are traveling you are representing Jurupa, let's be sure to do so professionally, courteously, and proud.
Teams are able to fundraise and/or seek sponsorships to cover the cost of tournaments.
All tournaments must be approved by the RC or ARC and must have our signature on tournament documents.
All teams must have laminated coach, asst. coach, and player cards also signed by RC or ARC before you attend any game and/or tournament
Uniforms will be purchased separate from your base fees from 100% Soccer.
Any replacement uniforms will be paid for by that player's parents in full. Remember that sizes are chosen by parents so if it doesn't fit, or they lose it and/or damage it, replacements are at their cost.
After November 12, there will be no refunds period for any reason if you choose to drop from the program. In addition, if yo haven’t fully paid by November 12, you will be dropped from the team.
